You got to love the E- Money Card. It is a pre-loaded debit card that can be used in over 19,000 stores in Taiwan. Bank Sinopac has partnered with Taiwan Market America (台灣美安) to distribute these cards. This mean that by shopping in any MA partner walk in store, you will be able to get CASH BACK into your MA Cash Back Account. Brilliant!
I do know many foreigners in Taiwan are frustrated by the fact that they cannot get credit cards, but the money card is available to all and it provides the convenience of a credit card with added benefits. Unfortunately you cannot use the card to shop online, but there are ample benefits to using the cards in our many partner walk in stores. See the list at MA Partner Stores
One of the biggest benefits of the MONEY CARD is the ability to get CASH BACK on your purchases. For example, one of our partners is Taiwan Taxi. They offer a 3% cash back on any fare. That is, if you spend NTD1,000 on taxis every month, you will earn NTD30 back in your back account. And in a year, this would add up to NTD960. That doesn't include the other many stores you can use the MA cash card.

The mt e-Money Card is a customed and electronic pre-payment card with the Market Taiwan brand and Mastercard functionality. Unlike a credit card, anyone can buy the mt e-Money Card - the cardholder deposits money in advance to the bank account of the mt e-Money Card, and then uses the card to shop. It can also be used as a gift card. You don't have to be the Card Holder, but All of the maCashback generated from the transactions via e-Money Card shopping will go towards your maCashBack account.
